Brody

I know you are all anxious to hear about my trip, but it will have to wait a bit.  I lost my dear Brody very suddenly this morning.  I know he's at peace, but it will take me some time.  There's a hole in our hearts right now.

Road Trip (Long One)

My girlfriend Joan and I are hitting the road Saturday for a long awaited trip to The Elly Sienkiewicz Applique Academy in Williamsburg, Virginia! This is my first time, not only to TESAA, but to Williamsburg, so I'm excited and nervous all at the same time. I'm taking three classes, and I got my first choice for all of them! I have classes with Elly, Rita Verroca, and guest teacher Jan Parks, who is doing a class on Baltimore Album architectural blocks.




We are first going to Ohio to see a couple of textile exhibits at Kent State University Museum, and then on to Williamsburg a day early to site-see before classes start.  I can't wait to see the Material Witnesses quilt exhibit at the Abby Aldrich Rockefeller Folk Art Museum.

I'll have lots to blog about, and hopefully I can do a few posts along the way. If not, I'll see you all when I return!
